Menopause supplements in Singapore: how to choose

The short answer

Singapore pharmacies sell menopause supplements from under S$40 to S$149 a pack. Compare the cost per day, not per pack: a 60-capsule pack taken 2 a day lasts only 30 days. When a brand ships from overseas, check that taxes are included, when delivery is free, and that you can pay with PayNow.

In Singapore, most women pick up a menopause supplement at Guardian or Watsons, or order one online. Prices run from under S$40 to S$149 a pack, and the cheapest pack is not always the cheapest per day.

This guide covers what is different in Singapore: what is on the shelf today, how to compare prices properly, and what to know when a brand ships from overseas. For how the ingredients compare, read our full guide to choosing a menopause supplement.

What menopause supplements are sold in Singapore?

How do you compare prices properly?

Work out the cost per day, not the cost per pack. Packs in Singapore range from 30 to 90 tablets, and some products ask for two a day, so the shelf price can mislead you.

  1. Find the daily dose on the label, for example 1 tablet or 2 capsules a day.
  2. Divide the number in the pack by the daily dose. That is how many days it lasts.
  3. Divide the price by those days. That is your real cost per day.

A 60-capsule pack at 2 a day lasts 30 days, not 60. Plan for at least 8 to 12 weeks, since that is how long you should give any supplement before you judge it, and check the shop has stock for that long.

What should you know when a brand ships from overseas?

Check three things before you order: whether the price already includes taxes, what delivery costs, and how you can pay. Some supplements sold online in Singapore ship from overseas, MenoLuv included.

  • Taxes: some shops add tax at checkout. Look for a line saying taxes are included.
  • Delivery: look for the order amount where delivery becomes free, and compare it with the pack you actually need.
  • Payment: Many Singapore buyers prefer PayNow, so check it is offered before you fill your cart.
  • Your medicines: buying online means no pharmacist at the counter. If you take a blood thinner or have had a hormone-related cancer, ask your doctor before taking soy or any isoflavone.
