Menopause supplements in Malaysia: how to choose
Reviewed by the research team at PlantBio Research.
The short answer
Malaysian pharmacies and shopping apps sell menopause supplements from about RM75 to RM320 a pack. Buy from the official store, check the expiry date and compare the same pack size: one Swisse pack sold for RM87.58 to RM106.70. Many Malaysians also already eat soy every day in tauhu, tempeh and soy milk.
In Malaysia you can buy a menopause supplement at Guardian, Watsons or BIG Pharmacy, or in a few taps on Shopee and Lazada. Prices run from about RM75 to RM320 a pack, and the same pack can cost very different amounts depending on where you buy it.
This guide covers what is different in Malaysia: what is on the shelf, how to buy safely online, and the soy you may already be eating. For how the ingredients compare, read our full guide to choosing a menopause supplement.

Is it safe to buy menopause supplements on Shopee or Lazada?
Yes, if you buy from the brand’s official store and check the box when it arrives. Marketplaces are where most Malaysians shop, and they are also where the same product shows up from many different sellers.
- Buy from the official store. Look for Shopee Mall or LazMall, or the brand’s own name on the shop. A reseller may be fine, but you cannot always tell how the stock was stored.
- Check the expiry date before you pay. Some listings show it in the title, such as “EXP JAN 2027”. Short-dated stock is often what is on sale.
- Compare the same pack size. On 21 October 2026 the same Swisse 60-tablet pack sold for anything from RM87.58 to RM106.70 on Lazada.
- Check the seal when it arrives. If the seal is broken, contact the seller before you use it.
- Ask a pharmacist about your medicines. This is where a Guardian, Watsons or BIG Pharmacy counter helps, especially if you take a blood thinner.

How much soy do you already eat?
Quite possibly more than you think. Soy is part of everyday Malaysian food, and every soy food carries some isoflavones, the same plant compounds many menopause supplements are built on.
- Tauhu in your curry, stir-fry or yong tau foo
- Tempeh, fried or in sambal
- Soy milk from the pasar or the supermarket fridge
- Tau fu fa for dessert
- Fu chuk in soups and tong sui
The amount in food varies from dish to dish, so you never really know how much you are getting. A supplement gives you a measured amount every day. If soy is already on your plate most days, that is fine for most women. If you take a blood thinner or have had a hormone-related cancer, ask your doctor first.
